Green smoothie – the ultimate health food drink

All ingredients must be raw, as fresh as possible, and the green vegetables should be organic if possible
Into a blender, nutribullet or smoothie maker put about 300 -400ml of water.
Add in the ingredients one at a time, blending until smooth.
Everything is optional except the greens – make it with what you can find, and what you like. Use the list as a guide.
 
Any green leafy vegetable such as spinach, rocket, lettuce, kale
edible wild greens such as cleavers, plantain, dandelion leaf, hawthorn leaves, ground ivy leaves
culinary herbs such as rosemary, thyme, chives
cucumber
any sprouted seeds
broccoli
pea shoots
celery
fennel bulb
avocado
chlorella ½ -1 level teaspoonful – start low and build up
1 rounded teaspoonful greens powder formula
green superfood
raw cocoa powder – especially for children
pinch of salt
lemon juice to taste
garlic to taste
ginger to taste
if you are taking powdered herbs or supplements add this in too
a little olive oil and/or fish oils
if this is to be a meal replacement add either ground nuts and seeds, or pea or hemp protein
powder
Divide the smoothie into two servings – drink one half straight away, and have the other half by
lunch time. The second portion should be kept cool.
